Keech Hospice Care are looking to recruit an inspirational Lecturer Practitioner to join a team pioneering how palliative and end of life care education is delivered across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.

As a Lecturer Practitioner you will have a developmental approach to your work and passion for everything learning! You will be responsible in delivering innovative and engaging workshops locally and nationally engaging with adult or children’s services, health and social care providers, other hospices and academic institutions including the University of Bedfordshire

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate a range of educational opportunities across varied platforms which includes e-Learning, online and classroom environments.
  • Leading, designing and promoting palliative care education.
  • Work closely with the Head of Learning, Organisational Development and Research to influence learning content regarding palliative and end of life care.
  • Develop innovative marketing and communication material that can reach a wider audience.
  • Participate in education and training events to promote Keech Hospice care and learning opportunities.

Skills/Experience

  • You will hold a postgraduate teaching qualification (or qualified by experience)
  • Be a qualified Health Care professional and/or Registered Nurse, Paramedic or allied healthcare professional, for adult or children and young people.
  • Background within education and awareness of palliative care in hospice community, or acute services
  • Evidence of excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
