This is a Temporary, Part Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

At Keech Hospice, we believe that the spaces we create can have a huge impact on the well-being of our patients. We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to join our compassionate team and help maintain a warm, calm and clean environment for our patients, their families, and our staff. Your role will be vital in ensuring that the hospice always reflects the high standards of care we provide.

This role offers a 15 hour p/w, 3 days over 7 days  including 1 weekend in 4 with a flexibility of days available from 7:15 to12:30

What you will do

  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout all areas of the hospice
  • Communicating with patients, relatives, staff, and volunteers to provide a responsive service
  • Following infection control procedures and adhering to COSHH guidelines when using cleaning products
  • Replenishing hand towels/laundry and other consumables
  • Assisting in the correct handling and disposal of clinical waste and rubbish
  • Transporting items around the hospice
  • Completing daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping schedules and ensuring accurate record-keeping

 

What you will need

  • Experience in a similar housekeeping role is an advantage
  • A proactive and detail oriented mindset, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, patients, and volunteers
  • Time management skills
