What you will do

  • Advise, support, and involve families and carers in simple therapy techniques.
  • Provide hands-on complementary therapies to patients.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
  • Collaborate with the Complementary Therapy team to enhance service offerings.
  • Attend briefings to ensure continuity of care and educate health care colleagues.
  • Contribute to the training of complementary therapy volunteers.
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times.

 

Essential

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering complementary therapy.
  • Nationally recognised qualification
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a healthcare setting and integrate therapies with conventional medicine.

Desirable

  • Experience in a palliative care setting and working with children.
  • Nationally recognized qualification in more than one therapy, including massage.
  • Ability to cope with situations in a palliative care setting.
